The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Brun blocks the leg kick.
Deedle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brun circles away.
Deedle tries to clinch there but Brun circles away.

Deedle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brun is refusing to be controlled, as Deedle sits in half guard.
Deedle prevents Brun from improving his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brun stuffs the takedown attempt from Deedle. Deedle gets slowly back to his feet.
Deedle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Deedle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Deedle wants to clinch up but Brun keeps it at a distance.
Deedle misses with a series of wild punches.
Deedle looks for a takedown but Brun sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Deedle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brun circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Deedle drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Brun follows Deedle to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
