Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lolly Pop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kegan Williamson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pop connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williamson scrambles back to his feet.
Williamson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pop finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Pop throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williamson looks to clinch
and Pop counters with an inside leg kick.
Kegan Williamson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williamson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Williamson tests Pop's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Williamson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pop on the side of the head.
Pop looks to throw the jab but Williamson is out of range.

and Pop cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williamson.
Williamson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Williamson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williamson.

Pop tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williamson swivels and escapes.
Williamson throws a big shot that misses.
Kegan Williamson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Williamson motions for Pop to come forward. Williamson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Williamson scores with a nice right hand.
Pop scores with a spinning back kick!
Williamson ducks under a wild hook from Pop.

and Pop counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Williamson!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pop lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

You get the feeling that Williamson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Williamson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pop tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Pop scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Pop wants to control the pace but Williamson is squirming around nicely.

Pop throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Williamson because Pop loaded up on that one.
Pop fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Pop pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Pop wants to control the pace but Williamson is squirming around nicely.
Pop postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Williamson looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pop has hold of Williamson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Williamson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pop lands a nice shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lolly Pop dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Williamson fakes the leg kick and cracks Pop in the body.
Pop lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Pop avoids a kick to the body.
Pop takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Williamson closes the distance looking to clinch

Lolly Pop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pop seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pop is trying to control. Williamson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pop stalling away here and it's allowed Williamson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Williamson is on top in guard.
Williamson wanted to stand there but Pop had control of the position.
Pop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williamson is one step ahead there.
Pop wants to improve his position but instead Williamson has moved into half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pop misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pop makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pop.
Williamson wants to get up but he can't break Pop's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Pop working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williamson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williamson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Williamson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pop is looking to control Williamson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pop avoid being mounted?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pop controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Williamson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lolly Pop is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Pop stays in close to Williamson's body and controls the position.
Pop wants to pass the guard but Williamson is keeping the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pop is working hard here to advance position.
Kegan Williamson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Williamson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pop's head.

Pop seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Williamson for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lolly Pop wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Williamson lands a lovely overhand right.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lolly Pop showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pop, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
