Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistar Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Bruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem comes into the arena with right above it lil wayne blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bruso's choice of entrance music: Helena. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thomas Bruso was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws a sloppy body shot

and Bruso counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Overeem's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruso throws a big right hand that misses.
Bruso wants to pass the guard but Overeem is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bruso accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Overeem looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Bruso throws and elbow that misses. Overeem uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bruso's guard. Nice move by Overeem!
Bruso is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Thomas Bruso hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Overeem goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bruso avoids a kick to the body.
Overeem swings widly with a right hand
and Bruso counters with an inside leg kick.

Bruso gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bruso creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Overeem's defenses.

It looks like Alistar Overeem has been cut.
Overeem tries to break free but Bruso pushes him back against the cage.

A right hook to the body lands for Bruso.

Bruso ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bruso no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bruso lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Overeem!

Bruso is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Overeem goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Bruso!
