Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Duffle Bag!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Carter punishes Bag's body with a nice straight punch.
Bag takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Carter scores with a punch to the head.
Carter works the jab nicely.
Bag shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carter as he avoids it easily.
Bag takes one to the chin there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bag shoots in and bounces Carter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bag stands up from Carter's guard - Bag perhaps looking for a knockout.
Carter cracks Bag with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ryan Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bag changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bag trying to control the action but Carter is working from the bottom.
Bag working away.
Carter tries to improve position but can't.

Bag tries for a kimura but Carter is defending well.
Carter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bag wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bag sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Carter is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bag in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Bag wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.
Carter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bag is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carter controlling the action here.
Bag is trying to get back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bag slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Carter postures up.

Bag is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bag on the ground.
Carter wants to stand but Bag has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bag is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bag is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bag working for a triangle but Carter defends it easily.
Bag looks gassed!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bag is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Carter will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bag with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carter to score with a decent uppercut.
Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bag.
Carter connects with a looping right hand.

Carter lands a big uppercut and Bag crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bag looks OK. Carter waves Bag back to his feet!


Bag is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carter connects with a body shot.
Bag is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him?

Carter closes the distance and clinches.
Bag seems to have recovered his senses.
Carter lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Carter lands an elbow that stopped Bag in his tracks for a moment.

Carter lands a vicious elbow to the side of Bag's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Carter tries to finish him with strikes but Bag still seems able to defend himself so Carter steps back and lets Bag get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.


It looks like Duffle Bag has been cut.
Bag is breathing heavily.
Carter drops Bag with a straight right hand, right on the button! Carter follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Carter!
