Gruffo connects with a leg kick. Tanner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gruffo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A right-left combo lands from Tanner.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tanner lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tanner avoids the body shot from Gruffo.
Tanner thows a body shot but no joy.
Tanner does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gruffo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tanner moves away.
Gruffo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A slow jab from Gruffo misses its intended target.
Gruffo avoids the body shot from Tanner.
A big right from Tanner misses.
Tanner throws a leg kick that is checked
and Gruffo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tanner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gruffo misses with a body punch
and Tanner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gruffo thinking.
Gruffo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tanner.
Gruffo lands with a hook. Tanner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gruffo throws a shot from downtown. Tanner moves away and avoids it.

Tanner connects with a leg kick. Gruffo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Tanner connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gruffo momentarily.
Tanner misses with a two punch combination.
Tanner slips a jab and a cross from Gruffo.
Gruffo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gruffo tries to land a leg kick but Tanner saw it coming and moves away.
Tanner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gruffo manages to avoid it.
Tanner throws a big shot that misses.
Beno Gruffo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gruffo throws out a loose jab but Tanner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gruffo tries to clinch but Tanner is having none of it.
The fighters circling - Gruffo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gruffo. Tanner does a little dance to reset his feet.

Oooh a lovely combination from Tanner sends Gruffo down but not out. Tanner dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Beno Gruffo has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanner lands a strong strike to the head of Gruffo. That's dazed him! Tanner looking to finish here. Gruffo is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Tanner lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
