Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craven Morehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Howe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morehead comes to the cage accompanied by The Mystery of Chess Boxing. Craven Morehead had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craven Morehead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Howe!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morehead.
Craven Morehead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howe takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Morehead avoids a punch combination nicely.
Morehead lands a jab-cross combination.

Howe instigates a clinch.
Howe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Morehead throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Morehead tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Howe breaks from the clinch.
Morehead misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Morehead fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Howe shoots in but Morehead avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Howe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Howe.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morehead looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Howe has picked Morehead up and slammed him! Morehead can't keep hold of the triangle and Howe manages to pass to side control!
Morehead tries to bench press Howe off him but Howe keeps the position.

Howe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Morehead, who protects the arm well.
Howe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Morehead down.
Morehead manages to get back to half guard.

Howe is nestled in close to Morehead, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Howe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Howe has control of Morehead's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morehead regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd cheers as Howe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Morehead doesn't seem phased though.
Oh Morehead is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morehead looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Howe throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Howe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morehead did well to prevent Howe getting side control.
Morehead is staying active underneath Howe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Howe looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Howe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Morehead with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Howe is trying to control the action in half guard but Morehead is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Howe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Howe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morehead looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Howe is looking to take a break and control but Morehead is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well Howe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
