Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Saturn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saturn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dropkick Murphys - "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saturn misses with a jab, cross combination.

Powers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Saturn!

Saturn somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Saturn throws a looping overhand right but Powers ducks down to avoid it.

It looks like Michael Powers has been cut.
Saturn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Saturn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saturn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Powers is working for a kimura but Saturn is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Powers wants to pass the guard but Saturn is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Saturn lands a left and a right that sends Powers crashing to the canvas! Saturn dives into mount looking to finish!

Powers is looking to improve his position but Saturn isn't that keen on the idea.
Saturn wants to stand but Powers is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Saturn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Powers is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Powers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Saturn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Powers is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Saturn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Powers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Powers throws a lazy right hand but Saturn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd cheers as Saturn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Powers doesn't seem phased though.
Saturn cracks Powers with a hook to the temple - Powers is on wobbly legs here! Saturn swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Powers falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Saturn wins by TKO!
