The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maycock shoots in and gets a takedown into Warior's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maycock postures up and lands a big shot to Warior's brow.

It looks like Hempa Warior has been cut.
Maycock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Warior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maycock is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Maycock won't allow Warior to sweep him here.

Maycock drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maycock jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Maycock is pushing down on Warior's leg trying to pass to half guard. Warior is fighting to maintain full guard but Maycock has managed to sneak the leg through.

Maycock has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Warior defend it? Maycock steps over the head and cranks it - Warior is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Maycock!
