Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Go To Sleep. Austin has chosen Six Million Dollar Man as his entrance music. Steve Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenneth Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Austin!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin throws a right hand that misses
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Smith moves out of range as Austin strikes.
A slow jab from Austin misses its intended target.
The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Austin doesn't seem phased though.
Smith avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Austin's guard.
Austin doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Smith is fighting to break Austin's control of his arms but Austin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Austin is trying to keep Smith in close.

Austin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Austin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Austin in his guard.

Smith goes for an armbar but Austin turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Austin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Austin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Austin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Austin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Austin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
