Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Paul Bostik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Jones is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks to land a left hand but Bostik moved out of range nicely.
Bostik doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bostik won't be happy with that.
Bostik is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jones connects with a decent elbow.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones looks up at the clock and then as Bostik takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bostik is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bostik takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bostik's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jones is taking a breather. Bostik says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones working over Bostik with some ground and pound. Bostik looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jones wants to control from the top but Bostik keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bostik wants to clinch

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Bostik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Michael Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bostik would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
Jones prevents Bostik from standing back up.
Well, if Jones is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bostik is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bostik is trying desperately to improve position.

Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bostik is on top in guard.

Bostik tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jones displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bostik up against the cage.
Bostik fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Bostik gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.
Jones stalls.
Jones has Bostik pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bostik manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bostik fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jones wants to control from the top but Bostik keeps moving.
Jones won't allow Bostik to get back to his feet.
Bostik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bostik is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Jones misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Jones slows the pace down.
Jones cracks Bostik with a big right hand but Bostik just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Jones is working to tighten is grip on Bostik's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bostik has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jones is really squeezing tight and eventually Bostik passes out! Jones breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
