The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fazz dodges the punch combination from Sirkkeli.
Quizz Al Fazz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Fazz there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fazz connects with a solid leg kick.
Fazz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Sirkkeli counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fazz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sirkkeli throws some wild stikes that Fazz manages to avoid easily.

Sirkkeli cracks Fazz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sirkkeli looking to control but Fazz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fazz is trying to escape the mount.

Sirkkeli throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Sirkkeli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fazz tries to hold on but Sirkkeli postures up.
Fazz is looking to improve his position but Sirkkeli isn't that keen on the idea.

Sirkkeli goes for an armbar but Fazz turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fazz.

Sirkkeli drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fazz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sirkkeli has Fazz in his guard.

Sirkkeli isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fazz stacks Sirkkeli on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fazz!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fazz works to advance to full mount. Sirkkeli defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Sirkkeli fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fazz avoids it really well and circles away.

and Fazz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sirkkeli throws a right hand that Fazz ducks under and follows up with a left that Fazz also avoids with ease.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fazz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sirkkeli seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fazz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Harri Sirkkeli overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sirkkeli is trying to work for a kimura but Fazz is defending well.
Quizz Al Fazz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
