Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between chunwai montalbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirby Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

montalbo darts in and clinches Navarro up against the cage.
Navarro prevents a takedown attempt there.

montalbo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Navarro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Navarro escapes and gets back to his feet.
montalbo fails with an attempt to clinch.
montalbo shoots for a double leg takedown but Navarro sprawls well. He's pushed montalbo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Navarro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kirby Navarro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Navarro is looking to clinch but montalbo is avoiding it.
Navarro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Navarro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Navarro has momentary wrist control but montalbo slips an elbow through the middle.

montalbo distracts Navarro with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Navarro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with montalbo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
montalbo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
montalbo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Navarro for as long as he can get away with.

montalbo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
