Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Petkovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bottle Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw stuffs the takedown.
Petkovich shoots in but no luck this time.
Petkovich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shaw is fending him off so far but Petkovich persists. Nope, Shaw circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Petkovich. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shaw wants to improve his position but instead Petkovich has moved into half guard.
Shaw tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Petkovich seems to be working for a kimura but Shaw defends the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Petkovich doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Shaw counters with a single leg into guard. Petkovich didn't expect that.
Petkovich is breathing heavily.
Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but Petkovich is retaining full guard.
Shaw working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Shaw keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Petkovich's head.
Shaw throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petkovich works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Shaw chips away with some ground and pound.

He's locked it up tight! Shaw's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Petkovich picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
