Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjorksen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Joe Thompson has been cut.
A big right from Bjorksen misses.

Thompson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bjorksen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Thompson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Thompson feints and then cracks Bjorksen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bjorksen down.
Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Bjorksen sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bjorksen throws a right hand that Thompson ducks under and follows up with a left that Thompson also avoids with ease.

Bjorksen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
No joy there for Thompson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Thompson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thompson throws out a loose jab but Bjorksen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thompson looks for the body kick but Bjorksen saw that one coming.
Thompson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bjorksen as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bjorksen tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Thompson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bjorksen's knee momentarily.

Thompson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Thompson ducks into an uppercut from Bjorksen and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
