The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Welker feints a jab promting dos santos to slip. Welker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. dos santos slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Welker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dos santos manages to avoid it.
Welker cracks dos santos with a right hand to the side of the head.
A combination from dos santos does no damage.
dos santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Welker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
dos santos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A left lands for Welker.
dos santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Welker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sloppy strikes from dos santos. Those never looked like landing.
dos santos fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Welker on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
dos santos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Welker lands with a right hand.
dos santos ducks under a wild hook from Welker.
Welker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
dos santos misses with a few strikes there.
Welker throws a series of punches but dos santos moves out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for dos santos.

dos santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Welker looks to throw the jab but dos santos is out of range.

Welker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. dos santos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. dos santos turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Welker off and cradles dos santos's limp body as Welker celebrates with his corner.
