Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joonatan Valasvatsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joonatan Valasvatsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Valasvatsa moves away.
Valasvatsa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kwon misses with an uppercut.

Valasvatsa thows a body shot but no joy.
Valasvatsa shoots in for a takedown but Kwon shows good takedown defense.
Kwon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kwon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Valasvatsa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kwon.

A looping hook to the body misses from Valasvatsa. Kwon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kwon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kwon wants to clinch.
Valasvatsa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kwon is fending him off so far but Valasvatsa persists. Nope, Kwon circles away and we're back to standing.
Kwon misses with a hook. Valasvatsa ducked under it nicely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kwon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Valasvatsa.

and Kwon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Valasvatsa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kwon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Valasvatsa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kwon, who protects the arm well.
Valasvatsa creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kwon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kwon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Valasvatsa advances to mount.
Kwon blocking the ground and pound.
Kwon trying desperately to get to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Valasvatsa has hold of Kwon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kwon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kwon avoids a series of strikes thrown by Valasvatsa.
Kwon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valasvatsa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valasvatsa is looking to work his way around to Kwon's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Valasvatsa has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kwon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Valasvatsa yanks on the arm and Kwon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Valasvatsa.
