Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Franchise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald McRonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franchise comes into the arena with I Don't Like Mondays- The Boomtown Rats blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franchise scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
McRonald moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McRonald keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Franchise.
The fighters circling - McRonald throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Franchise jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McRonald falls off balance throwing a combination
and Franchise counters with a single leg into guard. McRonald didn't expect that.
Franchise stands and throws McRonald's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Franchise throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Franchise has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Franchise thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Franchise is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. McRonald is trying to escape and Franchise transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and McRonald is forced to tap! Nice work there by Franchise! Very nice indeed!
