PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crowley Osbourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Osbourne comes into the arena with Mr Crowley blaring out of the sound system. Crowley Osbourne had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crowley Osbourne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano S!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osbourne throws a jab when S was well out of range.
Romano S seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Osbourne takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Osbourne looks to land a right hand but S moved out of range.
Osbourne misses with a hook. S ducked under it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from S. Osbourne does a little dance to reset his feet.
S throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Osbourne throws a right and a left that S avoids nicely.
S tries to clinch up.
S attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
S misses with a body shot
and Osbourne counters with a one-two to the body.
Osbourne scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
S misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from S. Those never looked like landing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Osbourne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from S - the referee stops the clock and Osbourne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says S. Osbourne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Osbourne closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Osbourne lands in his opponent's guard.
S looking to hit a scissor sweep but Osbourne is one step ahead there.

Osbourne scoring with some ground and pound.
S keeping moving, preventing Osbourne from controlling successfully.
S is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Osbourne is pushing down on S's leg trying to pass to half guard. S is fighting to maintain full guard but Osbourne has managed to sneak the leg through.
Osbourne is thwarting S's attempts to control the position.
Osbourne wants to lay and pray for a moment but S keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Osbourne performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Osbourne trying to control from S's half guard. S has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Osbourne trying to control but S is working from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Osbourne is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Crowley Osbourne just wasn't active enough.
Osbourne slips a jab and a cross from S.
Osbourne lands with an overhand left.
S does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Osbourne throws an overhand right that lands on S's shoulder, as S tries to avoid the shot.
S defending well as Osbourne loads up on a big left hand.
S just misses with a punch to the body.
S scores with a leg kick.
Osbourne connects with a body shot that sends S's belly button to the back.
S throws a right and a left that both miss.
S misses with a hook to the body
and Osbourne counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Osbourne slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Osbourne misses with a right hand
and S counters with a low kick, right behind Osbourne 's knee.
Osbourne misses with an uppercut
and S counters with a stiff right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Osbourne gets a takedown into half guard.
Osbourne keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Osbourne moves nicely into side control.
Osbourne working the ground and pound but S is defending the strikes.
S is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crowley Osbourne dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Osbourne jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Osbourne throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
S has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from S there as he acknowledges the shot.
S ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Osbourne throws a big shot that misses.
Osbourne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
S takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Osbourne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
S throws a head kick that Osbourne semi-blocks.
S takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Osbourne misses with an uppercut.
S scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Osbourne doesn't seem bothered though.
Osbourne throws a right hand that misses
and S counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
S works Osbourne's body with a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
S takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Osbourne connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between S's hands.
Osbourne keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Osbourne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Osbourne throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. S tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Osbourne is in S's guard.
Osbourne postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
S looking for a sweep. Not yet S, not yet.
S really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Osbourne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Osbourne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. S swivels though and keeps the full guard.
S wants to sweep here but Osbourne controlling him for the moment.
S is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Osbourne is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Osbourne working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of S's head.
Osbourne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Osbourne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed S's guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Osbourne sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. S defending well though.
Osbourne works his foot free and advances to mount.
Osbourne landing shots from mount.
Osbourne is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Osbourne raining down hammerfists from mount.
Osbourne with the ground and pound from mount.
Osbourne lands a nice shot to the head.
Osbourne is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. S can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Osbourne lands a big elbow - S is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and S is forced to tap out!
