Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Peeps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Christos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Peeps might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rage Against The Machine: Settle For Nothing . Christos has chosen Hell's Ditch as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Christos darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Peeps looks to land a combination but Christos avoids it well.
Peeps throws a predictable looking body shot

and Christos counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Christos stands up over Peeps, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Christos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Peeps manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Christos has Peeps in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Peeps will probably get the nod.

Christos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peeps swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Christos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Christos has gone for a leg lock! Peeps slips out almost immediately though and dives into Christos's guard.

Christos can't do much from the bottom here.
Peeps remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Peeps.
