The crowd seem to be enjoying Thompson's choice of entrance music: Out Of The Box- DL Incognito. Peeta Mellark is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mellark scores with a head kick.
Mellark thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thompson if he has to take too many more of those.

Mellark lands a nice hook to Thompson's body. Thompson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mellark throws a front kick that sends Thompson stumbling back into the cage.
Mellark takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Thompson looks to land a left hand but Mellark moved out of range nicely.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mellark lands with an uppercut that bounces Thompson off the cage and back into rage.

Mellark swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thompson.
Thompson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Thompson throws a looping overhand right but Mellark ducks down to avoid it.
Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Mellark.
Mellark pushes Thompson away with a front kick.
Mellark feints and then cracks Thompson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thompson down.

Mellark bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mellark throws a quick inside leg kick.
Thompson shoots in looking for a takedown but Mellark manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thompson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Thompson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mellark. Mellark obviously looking to wear him down.

Claude Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson tries to move into range but Mellark moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mellark lands a nice looking kick to the body. Thompson takes a step back to recover.

Mellark pushes Thompson away with a front kick.
Mellark throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mellark throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Thompson.
Mellark lands with a kick to the temple. Thompson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mellark throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Thompson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mellark connects with a solid leg kick.
Mellark throws a head kick that Thompson semi-blocks.
Thompson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Mellark scores with a jab.
Mellark fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thompson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mellark looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mellark connects with a right hand. Thompson shakes it off.
Mellark connects with an inside leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thompson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mellark - the referee stops the clock and Thompson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mellark. Thompson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Mellark.
Thompson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Mellark throws a leg kick which misses Thompson's front leg but catches the back leg as Thompson tries to avoid it.
Mellark feints and then cracks Thompson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thompson down.
Peeta Mellark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
An inside leg kick lands from Mellark.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Mellark! Thompson is backing up but he can't get away as Mellark lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Thompson and ends the fight. Great knockout.
