The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green shoots in for a takedown but Cruz shows good takedown defense.
Cruz swings for the body but Green moves out of range.

Green is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Cruz has given up his back - I don�t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Green is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cruz knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cruz for a finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green is persistently looking for the submission but Cruz is defending it well.

Green tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cruz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Green somewhat.

Green ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cruz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Green scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green moves nicely into side control.
Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Green has hold of Cruz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cruz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Green cranks the arm and Cruz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cruz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Leroy Green!
