PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Inas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Inas has chosen Rage Against The Machine: Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerard Mullins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Inas!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullins dodges the punch combination from Inas.
Inas looks to score with a jab to the body but Mullins is just out of range.

Mullins feints and as Inas raises his hands in defense, Mullins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mullins looking to sit in guard and control but Inas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Inas stands up and waves to Mullins to follow him.
Inas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Inas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mullins doesn't seem bothered though.
Inas punishes Mullins's body with a nice straight punch.
Mullins is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Inas lands a right hook to the body.
Inas lands with a right hand.
Inas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Inas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mullins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mullins moves forwards but Inas connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mullins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Inas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mullins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Inas cracks Mullins with a big right hand and Mullins goes down!

Mullins is rocked!

Inas stands up and waves to Mullins to follow him.
Oh Mullins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mullins leaves his chin hanging out and Inas seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Mullins crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
