The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Rocha closes the distance and clinches up with Neger , looking for a takedown. da Rocha pushes Neger against the cage but Neger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from da Rocha enables Neger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. da Rocha manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Neger wants to pass the guard but da Rocha is keeping the position.

Neger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
da Rocha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neger . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neger is pushing down on da Rocha's leg trying to pass to half guard. da Rocha is fighting to maintain full guard but Neger has managed to sneak the leg through.

da Rocha is defending against the submission attempts here by Neger .

Neger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. da Rocha doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Neger .

Neger is looking for a kimura but da Rocha is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Neger to get the leverage.
