Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Braulio Tomaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres has chosen Iron Maiden - The Trooper as his entrance music. Vitor Torres struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tomaz moves into the clinch.
Torres fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Torres fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tomaz sprawls well initially but Torres persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tomaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Torres throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tomaz's waist but Tomaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Torres off to one side.

Tomaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Torres with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tomaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Torres.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tomaz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Tomaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tomaz has hold of Torres's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Torres manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
