Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt comes into the arena with 7 Words blaring out of the sound system. Raine has chosen Slaughter - Billy Preston as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pewterschmidt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pewterschmidt misses with a hook.
Raine throws a nice inside leg kick.
Raine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pewterschmidt.
Raine fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carter Pewterschmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pewterschmidt lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Raine will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pewterschmidt up against the cage.

Pewterschmidt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pewterschmidt manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Raine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pewterschmidt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
