The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Hellwig misses.
Bratton tries to keep at a distance but Hellwig has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hellwig lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bratton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hellwig throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hellwig tries to close the distance and clinch but Bratton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hellwig throws a sloppy head kick and Bratton moves out of range easily.
Jim Hellwig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bratton defending well as Hellwig loads up on a big left hand.

Hellwig defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bratton.
Bratton blocks a head kick by Hellwig.

Hellwig tries to throw a body punch but Bratton avoids it by throwing Hellwig back against the cage.
Hellwig misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bratton.
Hellwig misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bratton manages to break the clinch.
Hellwig darts in trying to clinch
and Bratton counters with a single leg into guard. Hellwig didn't expect that.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hellwig can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hellwig lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bratton!
Bratton somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Hellwig loads up on a big right hand but Bratton slips the punch.

Hellwig fails with the takedown
and Bratton counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Bratton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hellwig.
Bratton shoots in for a takedown but Hellwig shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A slow jab from Hellwig misses its intended target.
Hellwig misses the jab.
Hellwig is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bratton.
Bratton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
