Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Spackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Spackman!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spackman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Spackman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Spackman stalks Kong and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kong's face. Kong staggers backwards, shaken.
Nice shot lands for Spackman.

Kong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Spackman fails to land with a series of punches.
Spackman throws a right and a left that Kong avoids nicely.
Kong takes a swing at Spackman's ribcage but misses.
Spackman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kong moves away.

and Kong counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spackman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kong has managed to get both his arms back between Spackman's legs - danger averted.
Spackman wants to sweep but no luck.

Kong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kong drops back looking for a leg! Spackman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spackman manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Spackman's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spackman is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Spackman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kong is aware though and is defending well.
Spackman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kong stalling away here and it's allowed Spackman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Kong drops back, looking for a kneebar! Spackman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Spackman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Spackman!

Kong is not content to let Spackman control the position.
Spackman tries to advance to mount but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kong is trying to control Spackman's posture but Spackman avoids it.
Spackman wants to control for a moment but Kong uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Spackman moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Kong.
Kong can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dan Spackman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Spackman which made him look bad.

Kong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kong avoids the attempt from Spackman to control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spackman is breathing heavily.

Spackman is squirming around, avoiding Kong's attempts to control the action.
Spackman is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spackman tries to hold on but Kong pushes him away.

Kong has hold of Spackman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Spackman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kong wants to control the pace but Spackman is squirming around nicely.

Kong is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Spackman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Spackman shrugs it off.

Spackman has hold of Kong's hands but Kong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Spackman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kong lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Spackman feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Spackman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dan Spackman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Spackman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
