The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
QFC keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thompson.
Claude Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
QFC moves forwards but Thompson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Eric QFC has been cut.
Thompson walks into a left hand.
Thompson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around QFC 's waist but QFC gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thompson off to one side.

Thompson cracks QFC with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Thompson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning QFC to stand back up!

QFC is rocked!
Thompson drops QFC with a straight left! Oh this is bad for QFC ! Thompson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
