The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demidov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Couza takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A punch lands to the side of Couza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Couza checks a leg kick nicely.
Demidov just misses with a punch to the body.
Couza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Demidov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Couza somewhat.

Demidov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Couza.
Demidov throws a body punch but Couza moves out of range.
Demidov misses the jab.
Demidov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Couza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Demidov lands a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Demidov cracks Couza with an open hand slap.
The fight stays on the outside here - Couza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Couza uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Demidov.

Demidov cracks Couza with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Demidov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Couza to stand back up!
