The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mathius fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hansen sprawls well initially but Mathius persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mathius seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hansen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hansen throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Mathius stumbling backwards into the cage! Mathius bounces back off the cage towards Hansen , who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hansen lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hansen celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
