The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Johnson misses.
Everson slips under a jab.
Nice defenses there by Everson.
Everson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Everson getting side control.
Johnson is looking for a sweep. Everson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Everson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Everson winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Everson is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Everson drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head.
Everson is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Everson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Everson slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead.

Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.
Everson thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
Everson tries to pass to full mount but Johnson defends it.

Everson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Everson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Johnson is trying desperately to improve position.
Everson scoring with strikes but Johnson is staying in there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Everson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Everson cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Johnson is rocked!

Everson connects with a bit shot that sees Johnson covering up! More strikes from Everson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Everson is our winner by TKO!
