The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kacprowski throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Joey Hood has been cut.
Hood throws a right and a left that kacprowski avoids nicely.
A punch combination from Hood misses.

kacprowski clinches with his opponent.
kacprowski wants to break free but Hood has control.
kacprowski is stalling here.
kacprowski wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hood has him pressed against the cage.
Hood is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
kacprowski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hood smiles and moves away.

and kacprowski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

kacprowski wants to take a breather but Hood is having none of it.
kacprowski missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

kacprowski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hood is just riding it out for now. kacprowski eventually gives up the hold.
Hood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hood is defending against the submission attempts here by kacprowski.
Hood tries to get to full guard but kacprowski has control of the leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hood misses with a few strikes there.
kacprowski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hood stuffs the takedown attempt from kacprowski. kacprowski gets slowly back to his feet.
