Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chrisi Kay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Ice Ice Baby as his entrance music. Anderson Silva is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva digs a good hook to Kay's body.

Kay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Silva is trying to stand.
Kay controlling the pace. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Kay wants to get back to his feet.
Kay wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kay perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Kay eventually gives up the hold. Silva wants to get back to his feet. Silva is not content to let Kay control the position. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kay wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kay sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva defending well though. Kay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Kay not landing any meaningful shots this time. Silva won't allow Kay to pass to mount. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Silva wants to get back to his feet. Silva is staying active underneath Kay, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kay throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Silva trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva swings away with a leg kick that misses. Silva cracks Kay with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Kay avoids a punch combination nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kay is defended easily by Silva. Kay dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Kay's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Kay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Kay. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. Silva fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kay on the side of the head. Kay swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a straight right hand. Silva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kay's sensitive parts. Kay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chrisi Kay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Silva dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Chrisi Kay has been cut. Kay misses with the body kick and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Silva lands with a kick to the ribs.

and Kay counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kay. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kay postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva keeping full guard, as Kay tries to pass. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Kay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kay wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva managing to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kay, pushing him back against the ropes. Silva prevents a takedown attempt there.

Silva has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kay blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva lands a head shot. Kay avoids the body shot from Silva.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva lands with a cross. Kay misses the shot to the body. Kay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Silva looks to land a right hand but Kay moved out of range. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kay takes a shot right to the bread basket. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kay closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kay on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva looks to throw a body kick and Kay counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva pushes Kay off looking to stand but Kay dives back in and keeps control.
Silva tries to roll over but Kay keeps him under control. Silva manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kay has Silva in his guard. Kay looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
Kay thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Kay looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kay avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kay keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chrisi Kay's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Kay throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it. Silva throws a shot from downtown. Kay moves away and avoids it. Kay looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well. Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Kay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kay gets off balance looking for a body kick and Silva counters with a one-two to the body. Kay ducks under a wild hook from Silva.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left lands for Silva. Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Kay tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Kay 's knee. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva lands a leg kick that knocks Kay off balance momentarily. Silva lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Silva misses with a double jab.
Silva throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silva. Silva misses with a looping left. Silva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva throws a right and a left that both miss. Kay throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a two punch combo. Silva throws out a leg kick but Kay moves out of range and Silva only half commits. Silva works Kay's body with a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva jabs Kay right on the nose. Kay blinks but takes it well. Kay takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kay gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Silva dips to his left and cracks Kay with an uppercut! Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kay moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva scores with a jab to the jaw. Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Kay's shoulder, as Kay tries to avoid the shot. Silva looks to land a combination but Kay avoids it well. Anderson Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup. Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Kay, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chrisi Kay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva scores with a spinning back kick! Both fighters circling a little - Silva finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.

This has been an exciting period of action! Silva works Kay's body with a nice hook. Silva works Kay's body with a nice hook. Chrisi Kay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva throws a combination that misses and Kay counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kay doesn't seem bothered though. Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Anderson Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
