The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gracie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gracie lands an overhand right.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Roberto Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Sanchez.
Gracie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sanchez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
