The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Thornton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thornton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Windfury throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thornton.
Thornton is looking to clinch but Windfury is avoiding it.
Windfury fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Thornton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
