The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milko lands with a hook. Gessner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Curt Gessner has been cut.
Milko slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gessner is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Milko's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gessner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Oh Gessner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A jab-cross combination lands for Milko and sends Gessner crashing to the mat! Milko follows him down to the mat - Gessner regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Milko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gessner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Milko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gessner.
