The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maguire's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Maguire drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blick looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blick looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blick!

Blick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maguire is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Maguire holds on and takes a little breather.
