Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Cabbanas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabbanas comes into the arena with For Those About To Rock, (We Salute You) - AC/DC blaring out of the sound system. Shain has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Shain misses.
Cabbanas moves out of range as Shain strikes.
Shain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cabbanas.
Cabbanas throws out a loose jab but Shain uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shain throws a hook but Cabbanas avoids it easily.

Shain tries to bum rush Cabbanas with a series of wild strikes but Cabbanas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Diego Cabbanas has been cut.
Cabbanas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shain to the mat! Shain manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shain cracks Cabbanas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Cabbanas counters with a three punch combo that has Shain backing up. Shain nods at Cabbanas to acknowledge the strikes.

Cabbanas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cabbanas.

Shain leaves Cabbanas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cabbanas checks a leg kick.
Cabbanas jabs Shain right on the nose. Shain blinks but takes it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Shain misses the jab.
Cabbanas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cabbanas showed some decent athleticism there.
Cabbanas is trying to work for a kimura but Shain is defending well.
Shain wants to control but Cabbanas is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to M J Shain.
I think Shain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
