Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joonas Kolstela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kolstela kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Here Comes The Boom. III has chosen IRON MAIDEN : Alexander the Great as his entrance music. Alexander III is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander III!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolstela tries to work over III's front leg with a kick but III checks it.
III throws a hook but Kolstela avoids it easily.
Good leg kick by Kolstela there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kolstela motions for III to come forward. Kolstela throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kolstela lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kolstela.
Kolstela slips a jab from III.
III looks to throw the jab but Kolstela is out of range.
Kolstela will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kolstela doesn't manage to clinch there - III circles away.

III falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kolstela counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kolstela throws a hook but III avoids it easily.
III looks to land a combination. Kolstela sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kolstela is looking to chop away at III's legs.
III throws a lazy right hand but Kolstela sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
III misses with a looping left.
Kolstela tries to score with a low kick but III moves his leg out of the way.
III throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kolstela sees it coming and avoids it easily.
III throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kolstela counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kolstela.
III looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kolstela throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kolstela tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but III paws at him with a jab and circles away.

III walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
III throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kolstela counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kolstela connects with a solid leg kick.
III checks a low kick from Kolstela.
Kolstela tries to clinch but III moves out of range.
Kolstela looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Kolstela feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to III's calf.
Kolstela comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kolstela feints and then cracks III's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow III down.
III is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Kolstela jabs III right on the nose. III blinks but takes it well.
Kolstela is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kolstela dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on III. That did some damage!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joonas Kolstela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kolstela moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kolstela, right into the meat.
Kolstela tries to close the distance and clinch up but III swats him away and circles back towards the center.
III misses with a body punch
and Kolstela counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

III swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Kolstela to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Alexander III has been cut.

Kolstela lands a big uppercut and III crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but III looks OK. Kolstela waves III back to his feet!

III is rocked!
Kolstela lands an uppercut, right on the button! III tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
