Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Basurto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basurto has chosen Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Miguel Sanchez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basurto misses with a body kick.

Basurto pulls Sanchez in close to his closed guard and prevents Sanchez from doing any damage or advancing position.

Basurto has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Basurto is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanchez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Basurto's back instead.

Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Basurto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
