Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lyon Du!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Du with that takedown attempt.
Du throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Du.
Du walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Carter.

Carter goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Du is on top in guard.

Carter wants to control but Du is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Du wants to take a breather but Carter is having none of it.
Du wants to free his trapped foot but Carter is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Du thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carter's head.
Carter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Du wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.

Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Du looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Du keeps working.

Du drops back, looking for a kneebar! Carter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Carter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Carter!

Carter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
