The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Eko parries the strikes from Beez easily there. Beez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Eko to escape.
Beez tries to score with some ground and pound. Eko controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Eko fails with a takedown attempt.
Eko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Eko wants it to stay on the feet.

Beez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beez has managed to get both his arms back between Eko's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Eko is bucking up trying to escape but Beez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Beez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eko was covering up waiting for the punch and Beez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Beez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Beez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Beez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
