The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fabregas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gwacie's guard.
Fabregas wants to control from the top but Gwacie keeps moving.

Gwacie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Fabregas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gwacie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fabregas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gwacie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Fabregas is looking for a kimura but Gwacie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fabregas to get the leverage.

Gwacie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fabregas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fabregas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fabregas wants to free his trapped foot but Gwacie is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gwacie has his feet on Fabregas's thighs here. He's pushed Fabregas off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Fabregas screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
