Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shea Cuervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merv Bungay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Bungay.
Bungay lands a nice hook to Cuervo's body. Cuervo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Cuervo or perhaps it was just good defense by Bungay which made him look bad.

Cuervo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bungay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cuervo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bungay can't fight it off and eventually Cuervo manages to take the fight to the floor. Bungay looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Shea Cuervo will probably get the nod.

Cuervo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bungay's waist but Cuervo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cuervo off to one side.
Cuervo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bungay finds it's way round the side to connect with Cuervo's head.
Oh Cuervo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Merv Bungay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bungay connects with a nice cross there... Cuervo is looking wobbly and Bungay recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Cuervo to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bungay jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
