PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Heaslip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fatty McFatty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heaslip comes to the cage accompanied by We Built This City - Starship. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFatty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Heaslip sizes up McFatty with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McFatty throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McFatty lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Heaslip sprawling to the canvas. McFatty follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Heaslip hang on?

Heaslip is rocked!

It looks like Jamie Heaslip has been cut.
McFatty tries to pass the half guard into mount. Heaslip knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Heaslip on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heaslip tries to get out of the position.
Heaslip is trying to stand back up but McFatty is controlling him
McFatty has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Heaslip wants to control but McFatty is having none of it.

McFatty jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Heaslip manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Heaslip tries to improve position but can't.
McFatty has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McFatty works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

McFatty prevents Heaslip from standing back up.

Heaslip tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Heaslip wants to control but McFatty is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McFatty scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McFatty throws a jab when Heaslip was well out of range.
McFatty throws a series of punches but Heaslip moves out of range.

and Heaslip decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McFatty's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
McFatty manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
