Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Kharlamov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Nosov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kharlamov comes into the arena with Into the Mouth of Hell we March blaring out of the sound system. Yuri Kharlamov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nosov closes the distance and clinches up with Kharlamov, looking for a takedown. Nosov pushes Kharlamov against the cage but Kharlamov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kharlamov. Nosov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nosov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kharlamov is fending him off so far but Nosov persists. Nope, Kharlamov circles away and we're back to standing.

Kharlamov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nosov's shoulder. That is not cool.

Kharlamov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kharlamov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kharlamov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nosov throws a nice outside leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Nosov rushes Kharlamov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kharlamov is pressed up against the cage. Nosov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kharlamov down to the mat. Kharlamov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nosov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kharlamov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nosov was well out of range. Poor timing from Kharlamov.
Nosov shoots for a double leg takedown but Kharlamov sprawls well. He's pushed Nosov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nosov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kharlamov tries to avoid it but Nosov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kharlamov to the ground. Kharlamov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kharlamov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nosov blocks it with crossed arms.
Nosov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kharlamov pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kharlamov tries to land a knee to the head but Nosov blocks with his arms.
Nosov is looking to control Kharlamov's arms but Kharlamov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nosov has his back to the cage.
Nosov is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Kharlamov has denied him.
Kharlamov tries to land knees in the clinch but Nosov avoids the damage to the body.

Kharlamov throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kharlamov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nosov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kharlamov wants to finish this one by submission but Nosov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kharlamov.
