Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Angus O Reily!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Reily misses with a low kick.
Hall ducks under a wild hook from O Reily.
Hall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but O Reily moves away.
O Reily throws a wild body kick that Hall sees coming a mile off.
Hall ducks under a wild hook from O Reily.
O Reily swinging wildly here.
O Reily waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hall.
O Reily throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
O Reily will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hall loads up on a big right hand but O Reily slips the punch.
O Reily slips a straight right by Hall.
Angus O Reily seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but O Reily moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Reily misses with a few strikes there.
O Reily misses with a jab, cross combination.
O Reily misses with a wild combination.

Hall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming O Reily to the mat! O Reily manages to get full guard.
Hall passes easily into side control. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

O Reily prevents Hall from improving position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if O Reily can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hall working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
O Reily is not content to let Hall control the position.

Hall tries for a kimura but O Reily is defending well.
The referee asks Hall politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hall prefers to stall for the moment though.

Hall is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. O Reily is trying to escape and Hall transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and O Reily is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hall! Very nice indeed!
