The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davi closes the distance and clinches up with Redman, looking for a takedown. Davi pushes Redman against the cage but Redman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mario Davi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Redman as he jumps to the side.
Redman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Davi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Davi wants to pass the guard but Redman is defending well.
Davi prevents Redman from standing back up.
Davi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Redman keeps working.
Redman pushes Davi off looking to stand but Davi dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Davi has a takedown stuffed.

Davi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Redman but Redman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Davi slips under a jab from Redman.

Davi bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Redman comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Davi falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Davi was out before he hit the floor!
