Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerma Pekoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Train comes to the cage accompanied by Rammstein - Feuer Frei. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Train!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kerma Pekoni!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekoni takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pekoni walks into a jab.
Pekoni shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Train pinned against the cage. Train gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pekoni is looking to clinch.
Train clinches but Pekoni breaks the clinch

and Pekoni counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Pekoni slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Train working for submissions but it's allowed Pekoni to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Train is trying to stand back up but Pekoni is controlling him

Pekoni stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Train to get to his feet.
Pekoni uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Train.
No joy there for Train, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pekoni misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Train swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Train tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pekoni takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Train throws a hook to the side of Pekoni's head but Pekoni sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pekoni is trying hard to land a takedown here. Train sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mike Train has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kerma Pekoni.
Pekoni shoots in for a takedown but Train shows good takedown defense.
Train tries a head kick but it misses.
Train misses the jab.

Train works over Pekoni's head and body with a nice combination.
Train lands a two punch combo.
Train stuffs the takedown.
Train stuns Pekoni with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pekoni looks for a takedown but Train sprawls well.

Pekoni closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Train to the mat! Train manages to get full guard.
Train keeping moving, preventing Pekoni from controlling successfully.

Train wants to get back to his feet but Pekoni is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Train wants to sweep here but Pekoni controlling him for the moment.
Pekoni trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Train looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pekoni is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kerma Pekoni will probably get the nod.

Train throws a series of punches but Pekoni avoids them all with ease.
Pekoni takes a jab right on the kisser.
Train avoids the body shot from Pekoni.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Train missing with a left hand there. Pekoni was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pekoni is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Train ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pekoni moves away.

Train fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pekoni is out of range.
Pekoni shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Train as he jumps to the side.
Pekoni shoots for a takedown but Train saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Train just misses with a punch to the body.
Horrible takedown by Pekoni or perhaps it was just good defense by Train which made him look bad.
Mike Train has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kerma Pekoni.
Pekoni takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Train jabs at Pekoni's body.
Train moves in looking to clinch but Pekoni pushes him off.
Train stuffs the takedown.
Pekoni circles away from the clinch attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Train misses the target.
Train finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Train tries to bum rush Pekoni with a series of wild strikes but Pekoni uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pekoni shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Train defends it nicely.
Train thows a left - swing and a miss!

Train keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Train misses with a series of wild punches.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pekoni blocks a low kick nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Train!
Train fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pekoni shoots in for a takedown but Train shows good takedown defense.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Train keeps the fight on the outside.
Pekoni walks into a stiff left hand from Train.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Train dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Pekoni is trying hard to land a takedown here. Train sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Train scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pekoni is defended easily by Train.
Pekoni avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Train tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Train changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Train misses with a body shot.
Train throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Train looks to score with a jab to the body but Pekoni is just out of range.
Train displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pekoni throws out the jab.
A slow jab from Train misses its intended target.
Pekoni shoots for a takedown but Train saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
An inside leg kick from Train misses.
Pekoni takes one to the side of the head.

Pekoni takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Train throws a nice looking combination but Pekoni bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Train. Pekoni does a little dance to reset his feet.
Train fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pekoni changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Train tries to avoid it but Pekoni manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Train to the ground. Train escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Train scores with a nice body kick.
Pekoni takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Train closes the distance looking to clinch

and Pekoni counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Train's guard now.
Train bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pekoni's guard.
Pekoni keeping moving, preventing Train from controlling successfully.

Train stands and steps away. Pekoni gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pekoni takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pekoni looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Train showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Train has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
