Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Possu The Pumpkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Dyzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dyzer has chosen New Divide as his entrance music. Possu The Pumpkin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Possu The Pumpkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Dyzer!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyzer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract The Pumpkin.
Dyzer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between The Pumpkin's hands.
Stephen Dyzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Pumpkin wants to land a leg kick but Dyzer is out of range.

The Pumpkin avoids a punch combination nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dyzer checks a leg kick.

Dyzer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dyzer showed some decent athleticism there.
The Pumpkin is trying to maintain the position but Dyzer is very close to passing his half guard.
Dyzer with the ground and pound but The Pumpkin uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Dyzer tries to free his leg and advance position but The Pumpkin is retaining full guard.
The Pumpkin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The Pumpkin wants to stand but Dyzer is controlling the position.
Dyzer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The Pumpkin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dyzer.
The Pumpkin prevents Dyzer from moving into mount.
Dyzer works to advance to full mount. The Pumpkin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The Pumpkin is looking to improve his position but Dyzer isn't that keen on the idea.
Poor strikes thrown by Dyzer there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dyzer throws a nice looking combination but The Pumpkin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dyzer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck The Pumpkin on the side of the head.

The Pumpkin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dyzer shoots in and drives through. The Pumpkin sprawls well.

The Pumpkin throws a front kick aimed at Dyzer's knee but Dyzer avoids it well.
Dyzer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dyzer scores with a sloppy right hand. The Pumpkin should have avoided that one.

Dyzer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dyzer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stephen Dyzer has got the better of the ground game so far.
The Pumpkin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dyzer tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dyzer unloads with some shots from mount but The Pumpkin bucks and avoids them well.

The Pumpkin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

It looks like Stephen Dyzer has been cut.
Dyzer throws out a loose jab but The Pumpkin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dyzer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Pumpkin tries to avoid it but Dyzer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Pumpkin to the ground. The Pumpkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Possu The Pumpkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephen Dyzer.

The Pumpkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dyzer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dyzer throws a jab but it's blocked by The Pumpkin.

The Pumpkin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dyzer to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dyzer wants to pass the guard but The Pumpkin is keeping the position.
Dyzer chips away with some ground and pound.
Dyzer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but The Pumpkin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

The Pumpkin is looking to take a break and control but Dyzer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Possu The Pumpkin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dyzer lands with a nice combination. The Pumpkin backs away looking to recover.
The Pumpkin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dyzer thuds a left hand into The Pumpkin's body.
Dyzer fails to land with a series of punches.
The Pumpkin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The Pumpkin takes a jab right on the kisser.
Dyzer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dyzer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Nice defenses there by The Pumpkin.
Dyzer misses the jab.
Dyzer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Pumpkin moves away.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from The Pumpkin - that will leave a mark!
The Pumpkin feints and then cracks Dyzer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dyzer down.
The Pumpkin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The Pumpkin throws a head kick but Dyzer moves out of range.
Dyzer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dyzer ducks under a wild hook from The Pumpkin.
Dyzer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dyzer throws a hook to the side of The Pumpkin's head but The Pumpkin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stephen Dyzer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dyzer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
